Teacher Intro.

Review Drama 8 Outline. 

TA's attendance and warm up - stretch. 

Review of space rules and regulations:

*No touching or playing with ANY props or costumes EVER unless directed.
*No entry to the audio/lighting mini room unless invited to do so by a teacher or TA.
*No entry to backrooms or upstairs area unless invited to do so by a teacher or TA.
*No sitting on couches (only on the floor please) until further notice. 
*No phones EVER in the space.
*No filming or taking photos in the space unless invited to do so by a teacher or TA and with permission provided to you by the person you wish to film/take a photo of.

*The drama room is a safe space. We all must work to ensure it remains as such. Therefore all rules as noted above must be adhered to at all times. 

First large scale drama activity - Group Work - 

Split class into 4-5 groups (max group size should be between 5-6 students). 

TASK: Students - you will be creating a 'machine' with your whole group. Each student in the group will be a PART of the machine. 

One student can be the student to turn the machine on if your group would like and one student can be the end-product (at the end) which is created. End-product created can be anything you would like! No props to be used - just a student!

Each part of the machine (the students) should each have a motion and a sound that is created once the full machine is turned on. 

Students should be given around 15-20 min to 'create' their machine. TA's please supervise and assist each group as required. 

If Time - Each group to present their machine at the end of the class to the other students. If not enough time students can present their machine next class!

During performances/showings - This is where students CAN sit on the couches to view each group's performance!

Last Day for Radio Play Rehearsal - sound effects to be completed.  To End: Dude! Players stand in a circle and look down or close their eyes.  Someone counts to three and everyone must look up at someone eyes.  If anyone makes contact, they are to say "Dude" and take a seat.  A variation of this is instead of saying "Dude", they pretend to die dramatically.  Elimination continues until everyone is out.
